IABP benefits from its close proximity to Inverness Airport with carriers providing services to, for example, Gatwick, Luton, Southampton, Bristol, Edinburgh and Glasgow and international flights to such locations as Dublin. On a regional level, the airport provides a hub for operators servicing the rest of The Highlands, Orkney, Shetland and The Hebrides.

IABP is located adjacent to the A96, the principal trunk road between Inverness and Aberdeen. The A9, another readily accessible trunk road, provides links to Edinburgh, Glasgow and the South.

IABP is also adjacent to the rail network, with a rail link interchange consented within the site. The network provides a link to Aberdeen in the East and, via Inverness, to the cities of the Scottish Central Belt and beyond.
